Most of our archive files are standard ZIP files. Most operating systems have built-in support to open such files. Third party applications are available from various vendors such as 7-zip (Windows), WinRAR (Windows, with command line tool for Mac and Linux), PeaZip (Windows, Linux), and WinZip (Windows).

Most of the documents are either in Portable Document Format (PDF) which can be opened by Adobe Reader and Microsoft Office format either in legacy format such as doc, xls, or as newer OOXML, such as docx, xlsx. If Microsoft Office program is not present or a version is too old to open an OOXML file, they can also be opened by viewer software such as, Word Viewer, Excel Viewer, PowerPoint Viewer or you may want to consider Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats. Software such as OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice may be able to open these files as well.

Graphics files can be opened through many solutions, including tools available with most operating systems, except for PSD and EPS, which may require software such as Adobe Photoshop.

Video files come in various varieties. WMV files are best played on Windows Media Player (Windows), and MOV file, which is QuickTime, is best played on QuickTime player (Mac and Windows). On Mac, WMV files can be played with Flip4Mac. AVI files are mostly H.264 with AAC, which the aforementioned players should also be able to play. VLC Player (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.) is known to open many of these formats.
